PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW

Emily joined Rationale after roles in both structural design and large-scale civil construction.

Emily regularly leads the development of business cases and complex optioneering across a range of areas and sectors, ensuring all thinking is integrated and evidence based. Alongside this, she manages significant programmes of work with a range of clients across New Zealand.

As someone who is continually looking to improve and better serve our clients, Emily has recently trained as an Investment Logic Map facilitator, formalising her facilitation and workshop skills.

As an action taker, Emily loves working on projects that produce real results for our clients and most importantly, our communities. She prides herself on her work-ethic and willingness to get her hands dirty to get the job done. She enjoys working as part of collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve top results for Rationale’s clients, while building meaningful relationships with both clients and partners.

This ethos flows into all areas of her life, Emily has a can-do attitude and is always keen for a new challenge. Most recently, she has signed herself up for Wanaka Challenge 2022 – her first triathlon event this side of primary school, and a half ironman at that!

PERSONAL OVERVIEW

Emily is a city-girl turned farming wife. As such, she simultaneously swaps between engineering, farming, and training for whatever endurance event is on the calendar.

Emily and her husband Matt, farm in Tarras and when work allows can be found exploring all that the local area has to offer with their black Lab – Maddy.

When not pursuing high energy activities – running, biking, skiing, jet boating – she can be found pottering in the garden, entertaining friends with a home cooked meal, indulging in a girls shopping trip to the city, or sitting on the deck with a good glass of Central Otago Pinot.
